CDHT Sets up Offshore Talent Base in Toronto

Authors: Go Chengdu

The Chengdu Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone (CDHT) established an offshore innovation & entrepreneurship base at the headquarters of Canada China Club in Toronto, Canada September 21 local time.
It is the 16th innovation & entrepreneurship base for oversea talent set up by the Zone, after those in Frankfurt and Stockholm, as well as other major cities worldwide.
Centering on the bases, we're exploring ways to establish a two-way brain gain mechanism, which is geared to international standards. Using market-based tools, we'll build a system for oversea talented people to make a registration in the Zone and do business at home and abroad, said an official from the Zone's innovation and entrepreneurship center. He noted that the offshore bases break through limitations on time, space and nationality. Top overseas talents can start their businesses without leaving the environment they are familiar with, and commercialize their sci-tech results in China.
By far, CDHT has founded 16 offshore innovation and entrepreneurship bases in the UK, the US, Germany and other countries. They are believed to help the world pool and share resources of innovation, and offer preliminary services involving policy, IP, technology, investment for overseas talents who would start business in the Zone.
