Sir. Henry Keswick: Chengdu, Ideal Place for Business-GoChengdu

Sir. Henry Keswick, Chairman of Jardine Matheson Holdings Ltd., visited Chengdu March 1. During a talk with Fan Ruiping, a member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Sichuan Provincial Committee and Secretary of the CPC Chengdu Municipal Committee, Sir. Keswick acclaimed Chengdu as an ideal place in China for business people.

In Sir. Keswick's point of view, Chengdu is key to Jardine Matheson Holdings Ltd.'s investment in China. By far, the company has realized an annual revenue of over RMB15 billion in Sichuan, with more than ten thousand working staff. Its operations involve sales of luxury cars, property development, as well as retail and catering sectors, etc.

Sir. Keswick noted that Chengdu attaches importance to developing new business models and international trade, which are exactly what Jardine Matheson prioritizes.

The Hong kong-based Jardine Matheson Holdings Ltd. was founded in 1832. It has an annual income of USD70 billion worldwide, ranking 279 among all Fortune Global 500 companies in 2017.
