CDHT Boned Zone Tops Its Chinese Counterparts in Foreign Trade Volume-GoChengdu

In this year’s first half, the Chengdu Hi-tech Development Zone (CDHT) Comprehensive Boned Zone realized a total foreign trade volume of RMB151.1 billion, which ranked first among all of its counterparts in China, sources from the CDHT were quoted as saying July 20.

In the first six months, the city's gross imports and exports exceeded RMB200 billion. As a major driving force for the foreign trade growth of both Chengdu and Sichuan, the zone contributed 60.5% to the province's total.

The zone prioritizes such sectors as the manufacturing of laptops, tablet computers, wafers and electronic parts and components, chip packaging and test, precision machining and bio-pharmaceutical industry. To date, the CDHT has attracted the presence of many Fortune Global 500 and multinational companies, including Intel, Texas Instruments, Foxconn, Dell and Molex.
