City Promotes Its Culture, Tourism in Eastern Europe

In recent days, a Chengdu delegation promoted the city’s culture and tourism in Russia, Hungary and the Czech Republic, through a range of programs and activities.
On August 25 (local time), a Chengdu tourism promotion event, sponsored by the Chengdu Municipal Tourism Administration (CMTA), was held in Moscow, Russia. Showcasing the city's cuisine culture, the event was aimed to give Russian citizens a better understanding of the city of Chengdu, and attract them to travel and invest in the city.
On the scene, a famous Chinese master chef detailed the recipe and history of the Sichuan Cuisine, and then taught Russian gourmets to make steamed chicken with chili sauce and Sichuan cold noodles, etc. And CMTA hosted a photo exhibition highlighting the city's rich and colorful tourist resources, as well as profound culture and civilization.
Chengdu tourism promotion
On August 27 (local time), an exchange conference on Chengdu-Prague tourism took place in Budapest, Hungary.
At the event, a CMTA official briefed guests on Chengdu's tourism, time-honored history, splendid culture, picturesque natural landscape, and tour itineraries popular among overseas travelers.
After the conference, the Chengdu Culture & Tourism Development Group (CCTDG) and Hungarian ECW travel agency came into an agreement on furthering the exchange and cooperation between Chengdu's tourism-related sectors and Hungarian travel agencies.
After its visit to Hungary, the delegation continued its journey and arrived in Prague, the Czech Republic, where it launched a city marketing and branding event. Local residents were highly enchanted by exquisite pictures of Chengdu tourist attractions and historical sites, panda-themed postcards, creative products incorporating unique Chengdu cultural elements, and English travel brochures about Chengdu.

"The roadshow in Prague is meant to promote the Chengdu-Prague non-stop air route, and help Chengdu build itself into a world tourist destination," said a director at CCTDG.

India Promotes Tourist Resources in City

On March 29, the Consulate General of India in Guangzhou (CGIG) and the Foreign and Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of Chengdu Municipal Government co-organized the “Know India Tourism Seminar” in Chengdu.
