“Wu Xin persuaded me to come to Chengdu,” recalled Darrel, “He’s right and we have all the support we need. The company’s operation and promotion is backed up by strong RD capability and we get it.”
Chengdu is the center of education, scientific research in southwestern China, with 9 leading higher educational institutions, such as University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, Sichuan University, Southwest Jiaotong University and Chengdu University of Information Technology, and 44 technical schools rolling out tens of thousands of graduates every year to strengthen the recruitment of the growing IT industry in the city.
Statistics show that the output of service outsourcing of Chengdu hit RMB84 billion (approx. US$13.55 billion).
Darrel and Wu are optimistic about the prospect of their company. “Chengdu has opened more than 80 international direct flight routes. Our business will see expansions in the years to come. The company is planning to expand in the markets in Southeast Asia and other parts of the world,” said Darrel.
They revealed that Enveesoft will make games themed the panda, the logo of Chengdu, which they hope to help people in the world learn more about the city.
Darrel’s Suggestions on Startup
·Learning Chinese. It gives you convenience to set up businesses in China.
·Finding local partners. Suitable local partners help a lot in dealing with complex issues.
·Giving full play to individual advantages. I'm good at R&D and Wu Xin is good at marketing, and we do our best for development.
·Product brings profit. Think about how you can satisfy the market before you think about how much you can earn.
