The world’s largest 3D printing enterprise Stratasys will push forward its business in Chengdu and expand cooperation with the city.
The world’s largest 3D printing enterprise Stratasys will push forward its business in Chengdu and expand cooperation with the city, said GM of Stratasys China Mr. Wang Xianggen at an interview with local newspaper Chengdu Daily during the 2015 World 3D Printing Technology Industry Conference and Expo, which was held in Chengdu June 3-6 with the attendance of 1, 200 experts and entrepreneurs from over 10 countries and regions.
Stratasys said it had established partnership with several Chengdu enterprises of medical treatment, education and military industries.
“Chengdu has great potential in 3D printing industry and Stratasys will strengthen cooperation with the city in the fields of education, medical treatment and military production,” said Wang.
Wang noted that Stratasys attached great importance to Chengdu market and the market of southwestern China, as exemplified by the establishment of Stratasys’ Chengdu branch, which is the company’s only regional headquarters worldwide.
“The 3D printing technology will provide new start-up opportunities, especially for people with creative ideas but short of initial fund. Stratasys will offer a series of products to meet the demands of entrepreneurs in Chengdu,” said Wang.

Nicolai Peitersen, president of a London-based 3D printing company named WikiFactory, shared with the gochengdu.cn reporter his story of starting business in Chengdu and his plan on developing the 3D printing services business in the city.
