Laos Promotes Thatluang Lake Specific Economic Zone in Chengdu

A forum to promote the Thatluang Lake Specific Economic Zone in Laos was held in Chengdu on September 22.
The event, co-hosted by the ministries of culture and tourism as well as planning and investment, Lao PDR, and co-undertaken by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Sichuan Council and the Zone, attracted hundreds of Chinese and foreign investors and entrepreneurs, who focused on business opportunities arising from China's Belt and Road Initiative.
During the event, the Greenland International Hotels Group and other Chinese companies signed cooperative agreements with their partners from Laos on projects involving the Thatluang Lake Specific Economic Zone, which are worth RMB2 billion in total.
Located in the central area of Vientiane, the Zone is by far the biggest project planned by the Lao government at the capital of Laos.
