In a city, there is always such a landmark way witnessing the city's development and changes.
In 2013, the 28.3-kilometer long Second Ring Road in Chengdu opened to traffic after reconstruction and 56 Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) bus stations along the new Second Ring Road were put into service in the same year.
The city government attached importance to exploiting more space for traffic in the air, so 60% of the newly-built Second Ring Road is elevated expressway, which has greatly eased the traffic congestion and shorten the travel time from downtown to the suburbs.
