City Becomes Home to 271 Fortune Global 500 Companies

Three Fortune Global 500 companies made business presence in Chengdu in this year’s first quarter, sources from the Chengdu Investment Promotion Commission were quoted as saying on May 22nd.
Chengdu has become home to 271 Fortune Global 500 companies, of which 202 are from overseas and 69 from home. The city has topped central and western China in terms of total number, investment volume and industry scope of the companies.
The 3 companies are US-based Berkshire Hathaway Inc., a global insurance and diversified investment group, Baker Hughes, which is a product and service provider for global oil development and processing headquartered in Houston, Texas, and Japan-based Aeon, one of the biggest retailers in Japan and Asia.

Last Train

The band Last Train made up of four members, lead singer Jean-Noël, guitarist Julien, bass player Tim and drummer Antoine, will show up on the stage of the Music Day on June 18 in Chengdu.
