China-US Young Maker Competition Final Held in Chengdu

The China-US Young Maker Competition 2015 Final was held in Chengdu on August 14.
Sponsored by the Ministry of Education, the competition was participated by 48 teams from China and the US who engaged 24 hours to creating innovative products covering a wide scope of community development, education, environmental protection, health & fitness, energy, transportation and other fields for sustainable development by combining innovative designs and cutting-edge technologies.
“Compared with the first competition held in 2014, this year’s event showed strong influence and attracted a larger number of participants,” said Ms. Julia Zhu, Director of Education Programs at Intel China Ltd., “Many of the works are related to environmental protection.”
As one of the organizers, Intel provided some of its latest apps to the teams for their projects, according to Zhu.

The first makers’ center in southwest China was founded in Chengdu.
