The Amazon.cn, one of the world’s famous e-commerce operators, published on Dec. 10 a report on trend of online shopping in China in 2014, which shows that Chengdu came first among all cities in China in terms of sales of cosmetics on Amazon.cn.

According to statistics from Amazon.cn, online customers from Chengdu prefer to spend money on cosmetics, compared with their counterparts from other Chinese cities, and Chengduers also show a strong online purchasing power for pet products, ranking first in western China and fourth nationwide.
Since Amazon.cn initiated a new service in China to allow customers to buy products shipped from overseas during this year’s “Double 11” online shopping festival, the purchase orders from Chengdu has been ranking first in western China and fifth in the country following Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Hangzhou.
In addition, based on statistics of previous years, Amazon.cn has found out its best sellers. The first is various intelligent digital products and the second household and health products. Fashionable clothing is believed to be the third best selling goods next year, and the overseas purchasing will get more popular. Amazon also believes that books will become a hot selling item online.
