Sir John Cass Business School Sets Foot in Chengdu-GoChengdu

The Sir John Cass Business School unveiled its Chengdu Center at the Jiaozi Fintech Center, Chengdu, on March 7.

The Cass Business School is one of City, University of London's five Schools. It's among Europe's leading business schools and in the global elite of business schools that hold the gold standard of "triple-crown" accreditation. Its Chengdu Center is aimed to provide training services for government departments, financial institutions and professionals in the financial industry, as well as to facilitate communication and exchange between Chengdu and other parts of the world.

"Chengdu has been committed to promoting the development in the fintech industry, supporting fintech companies and to creating employment opportunities for the local society. Our Chengdu Center will bring in experts from all over the world to the city, to provide intellectual input for it in the fintech ecosystem development and to deepen its financial reform and innovation," said Mr. Andrew Clare, associate dean at the Cass Business School.

Chengdu has established a partnership with London's financial community for years. In 2010, the Lord Mayor of the City of London, heading a delegation, visited the Chengdu Financial City and exchanged views with it on potential cooperation in Chengdu's initiative to become western China's financial center. In March 2018, the Chengdu Jiaozi Financial Holding Group Co., Ltd. was invited to the Innovate Finance Global Summit (IFGS) 2018 held in London, and three months later the company set up a representative office in the capital of the UK.
