Promotion of Chengdu’s International Air Links

Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport, along with Chengdu Tourism Bureau, and airlines and tourist agencies, held a promotion program on June 22 in Hangzhou for Chengdu’s international air links.
The promotion focused on the air routes from Chengdu to Europe, Africa and the Middle East. Up to now, the city has 101 international (regional) air links between Chengdu and other parts of the globe, most of which are regular direct flights from Chengdu to Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
The airport provided various packages for passengers from southeastern China to transfer via Chengdu, such as fare concessions, ground transportation offered by travel service companies and free services at transfer rest zones.

A direct air link between Chengdu and Oceania will open soon.

A direct air service between Chengdu, capital of southwest China’s Sichuan Province, and Addis Ababa, capital of northeast Africa’s Ethiopia, was launched by Ethiopian Airlines (ET) on May 22. The one-way journey takes just 9.5 hours.
