On July 17, Israeli scientist and Nobel laureate Ms. Ada E. Yonath accepted an honorary professorship granted by the Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (CDTCM).
Ms. Yonath won the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 2009 for her groundbreaking research on the structure and function of the ribosome, thus becoming the fourth woman in the world to obtain the honor following Marie Curie, Irène Joliot-Curie and Dorothy Hodgkin.
