At a press conference held February 12 by the Information Office of the Chengdu Municipal People's Government, representatives from local government departments of development and reform, economic and information technology, tax affairs, financial regulation, as well as port and logistics management briefed the audience on the city's current development in optimizing local climate for doing business, and released a joint action plan on how to deepen the comprehensive reform of local business environment and to become a national model with best climate for doing business.

The city is determined to upgrade its services for innovation and entrepreneurship, government affairs and industrial development, expand opening-up and better local legal environment. To be more business-friendly, its task is to get more market-oriented, take tougher measures to regulate the market by law, and to further improve market facilitation.
