Foreigners Find Fun in Folk Culture

More than 60 foreigners joined in the celebration of Lantern Festival on March 4 in Xindu District in northern Chengdu.
They were special guests to a program called 2015 Friendly Spring, sponsored by Sichuan Provincial People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, Chengdu Municipal People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries and organized by Xindu District Government.
The invited foreigners included officials from consulates, overseas commercial agencies and foreign experts in Chengdu. Participants of the program visited the famous Baoguang Monastery and Jinmen Silk Town, a new tourist spot showcasing the silk culture. They also had a good time watching colorful folk cultural performances and folk activities in Xindu.
