The Florentia Village in Chengdu’s Pidu District, which was invested by Italian fashion retailer RDM Group, opened for business December 13.
A press conference for the Italian luxury designer outlet was held on the day, with the attendance of Messrs. Jacopo Mazzei, CEO of RDM Group, and Maurizio Lupi, General Manager of RDM Asia. "As a major tourism and transportation hub, Chengdu boasts favorable geographical location. The launch of the outlet is a crucial move for us to expand the Chinese market," said Mr. Jacopo Mazzei.
As the first grand Italian designer outlet in southwest China, Florentia Village covers a floor area of 35,000 square meters, where customers can find a wide range of global fashion brands. The squares, galleries, fountains and monuments here are all Italian-style, reminding tourists of the Italian city of Florence in the ages of Roman Empire and the Renaissance.
"Chengdu is a cosmopolitan and vibrant city with laidback lifestyle and boundless vitality. RDM Group will make the Village an ideal place not only for shopping, but also for travelling," said Mr. Jacopo Mazzei.
