The first one-stop hall for foreign-related administrative services in western China was put into operation inside the Chengdu Hi-tech Pilot Free Trade Zone on April 1, the day marking the second anniversary of the establishment of the zone.

Located on the second floor of the Business & Innovation Centre for China-Europe Cooperation, the hall covers an area of 670 square meters and provides offline, online and self-help one-stop services involving over 100 items for foreign-funded companies, multinational organizations and foreigners.

The hall is divided into three sections for administrative affairs services, foreign-related intermediary services and life services, respectively. The one for government affairs services is responsible for business registration, taxation, visa procedures, foreign expert services, and social security services, etc. The one for foreign intermediary services offers foreign-related legal services, and services involving intellectual property protection, customs affairs, commodity inspection, as well as international finance. And the one responsible for life services for foreigners helps foreign nationals with the schooling of their children and their everyday life.

The hall offers English translations for all of the services, ranging from handbooks and guides, instructions for the use of the queuing machines, texts on the web pages of the hall, as well as descriptions on the services. All the staff there speak both Chinese and English, and each of them is equipped with a translation machine, which can translate any foreign language other than English in real time.
