City Applies Special License Plates for New Energy Vehicles-GoChengdu

Chengdu officially piloted special license plates for new energy vehicles starting November 20.

The word D in the green-colored plates stands for pure electric vehicles, and F non-electric vehicles, including plug-in hybrid electric and fuel cell electric ones.

New energy vehicles are not subject to travel restrictions based on the last digit of license plate numbers throughout the city, and those registered in Chengdu are entitled to two-hour free parking in state-built public parking lots in the city. They are also allowed to park at half price in P+R (parking + ride) facilities fully financed by government fiscal fund between 07:00 and 19:00 daily.
