Chengdu-Sri Lanka Direct Flight Opens

The direct air service from Chengdu to Colombo, capital of Sri Lanka, will launch its maiden flight at 18:30 on February 10.

The direct flight’s flying time is five and a half hours. Air China operates the four weekly round-trip flights using Airbus A330 aircraft on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday.

The flight numbered CA425 takes off from Chengdu at 18:30 and arrives in Colombo at 21:50 local time, and the return flight numbered CA426 leaves Colombo at 11:10 local time and arrives in Chengdu at 6:40 next day Beijing time.

Chengdu has opened 78 international (regional) air routes by the end of last year. On February 5, the Chengdu-Mauritius direct chartered flight, the first non-stop air service between central and western China and Africa, was open. Chengdu will have 80 international (regional) air routes since February 10, topping central and western China.

UA to Increase Chengdu-San Francisco Flight Frequency
