Jointly sponsored by the Chengdu Municipal Government's foreign affairs office, Chengdu General Chamber of Commerce and Chinese Chamber of Commerce in New Zealand, the 2019 New Zealand·China (Chengdu) Business Promotion was held September 9 here in the city.
At the event, representatives from 55 institutions, companies and industry associations in New Zealand delivered speeches, as well as had one-on-one talks with their Chinese counterparts. On the early morning of September 9, before the event, the site was packed with guests from both sides. They chatted and exchanged views on potential cooperations. "It's amazing to see Chengdu's fast economic and social growth," said Mr. Stephen Wong, Consul General of the Consulate-General of New Zealand in Chengdu. He hoped the event can help the entrepreneurs from his home country to have a better understanding of Chengdu and to find opportunities of further collaboration with the city.
From the point of view of Mr. Pic Picot, owner and founder of Pic's Peanut Butter, Chengdu has advantages to develop e-commerce.
