China sent its first independently-developed cargo spacecraft Tianzhou-1 into space at 7:41p.m. on April 20.
The China Electronics Technology Group Corporation No.10 Research Institute (CETC-10) located in Chengdu provided the telemetry/telecontrol & communication (TT&C) system for the space ship.
Tianzhou-1 will go into an orbit 380 kilometers from Earth, and dock automatically with the earth-orbiting Tiangong-2 space laboratory.
The reliable space TT & C system made by the CETC-10 is a crucial part for the Tianzhou-1, and it is widely used for manned spacecraft, carrier rockets and launch pads, etc.
