Chengdu FTZ Sees Rapid Growth in H1

Since the inception of Sichuan Pilot Free Trade Zone (FTZ) on April 1, 16,944 companies with a total registered capital of RMB240.80 billion had located in the Zone as of the end of October this year.
In the past ten months, the province reported a 48.40 percent rise in imports and exports, 32.50 percent higher than the national average. And the number of newly-established foreign-funded companies grew by 65.40%, compared with the same period of last year. According to official data, from January to September, Chengdu's foreign trade volume amounted to RMB283.47 billion, up 56% year on year.
