City Invests over RMB2.1b in Educational Livelihood Projects
In 2014, the Chengdu city government invested RMB2.16billion (approx. US$348.71million) in educational projects involving people’s livelihood, which cover preschool, compulsory, senior high school and vocational high school education. The move benefited 1.47 million students across the city.

Foreign Civil Servants on Exchange Programs in Chengdu
A team of 28 officers from 19 sister cities of Chengdu on July 23 visited the L’école Primaire Montpellier à Chengdu (Montpellier Primary School in Chengdu) and exchanged opinions with officials from Chengdu Culture Bureau and Chengdu Education Bureau. It was part of the 10-day exchange program called “2015 Summer Program for Civil Servants from Chengdu’s Sister Cities”.
