300 Foreign Talents Seek Development in Chengdu

As part of the 2017 Chengdu Global Innovation and Entrepreneurship Fair, the 2017 Job Fair for Foreigners (Chengdu) was held in the city on May 13.
The event was organized by the Information Research Center of International Talent, SAFEA, and Chengdu Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, and co-undertaken by Qingyang District Government and Chinajob.cn. It attracted more than 300 foreign job seekers from 10 countries and regions across the world.
Over 40 employers offered more than 500 vacancies involving education, business management, biomedicine, material research, environmental engineering, computer science and marketing, etc.
"This is my first time to take part in such a recruitment event for foreign nationals. I don't want to miss the chance, so I bring my wife and her younger brother to hunt for an ideal job," said Mark, an oversea student from Sri Lanka.
"All of us are studying in China now. I major in Doctor of Business Administration in Huazhong University of Science and Technology and both of them major in International Chinese Education at Chongqing Normal University," said Mark, adding that "I love Chinese culture very much. We hope we can be engaged in the sectors intimately associated with what we have studied."
Chengdu Guibao Science & Technology Co., Ltd. is a local high-tech company in Chengdu. Its HR director, Huang shengli, felt quite satisfied with the applicants at the job fair. "We planned to enroll technical personnel, but out of our expectation, we found top marketing talents here. We need foreign personnel to join our overseas marketing team."
"An annual salary of RMB200,000-1,000,000 for each high-caliber professional." This is a recruitment advertisement from Wenjiang District's Human Resources and Social Security Bureau. "We are seeking overseas talented people with international visions to work as government employees, to support our regional development," said an official from the district.
