Boasting the first comprehensive book fair with great influence in central and western China, the first Tianfu Book Fair was held here in the city.
Between November 29 and December 2, the first Tianfu Book Fair was staged at the Chengdu Century City•New International Convention & Exhibition Center. The four-day event brought together numerous publishing organizations and print institutions in China, providing a platform for communication and exchanges among the exhibitors as well as an opportunity for book lovers to enjoy a large variety of good books in a strong learning environment.

Boasting the first comprehensive book fair with great influence in central and western China, the event took place simultaneously in a major venue in Chengdu and more than 200 sub-venues in other cities of Sichuan, presenting about 500 theme activities for visitors in total.
Covering an area of 23,000 square meters, the main venue encompassing different halls exhibited more than 110,000 books.
As of 12:00 on December 2, the Fair received more than 1.1 million visitors, 115,000 in the main venue and more than 1 million in the sub-venues. It's estimated to have sold books (online and offline) valued at a total of RMB29.92 million, as well as cultural and creative products worth nearly RMB1 million at the main venue.
