Jianyang, a county-level city under the jurisdiction of Chengdu, is more than 60 kilometers away from downtown Chengdu. Chengdu Tianfu International Airport
Located in Jianyang's Lujia Township, and about 50 km from Chengdu's city center, the Tianfu International Airport is positioned as a state-level international aviation hub. Upon the completion of construction, the airport will make Chengdu the third city with two airports on the Chinese mainland, after Beijing and Shanghai.
