Chunxi Road (Chunxi Lu) —The Most Popular CBD

The Malls: The biggest draws to this shopping district are the following megamalls which sell everything from imported goods to local products, including apparel, appliances and sport equipments.
1. Chengdu International Finance Square (Chengdu IFS) occupies the most coveted location within the Chunxi Road's core business district. It includes a host of the best-known international luxury and lifestyle brands, leading designer fashion labels, jewellery and luxury watch brands, skincare and cosmetics center, Lane Crawford Department Store, trendy eateries featuring international cuisines, a large ice-skating rink, UA Cineplex (IMAX), and a luxury hotel (NICCOLO).

4. The Sino-Ocean Taikoo Li Chengdu has lined up about 300 international fashion and lifestyle brands, such as Blue Frog, Element Fresh, Wagas, Ole Supermarket and some luxury brands including Gucci, Cartier, Ralph Lauren,Chloé and Hermès, as well as some popular sites such as Fangsuo Commune and Palace cinema. Adjacent to the centuries-old Daci Monastery and Chunxi Road commercial area, Sino-Ocean Taikoo Li Chengdu blends the old and the new, which takes on a traditional architecture style accomplished by a pioneering modern approach.

The Landmark: More than just a shopping area, Chunxi Road is also an important landmark in downtown Chengdu. A statue of Sun Yat-Sen stands in the central square of the shopping district. Sun Yat-Sen is known as the founder of modern China. Chengdu Metro Line 2 has been put into operation and made Chunxi Road is a more conveniently reachable site at the Chunxi Lu stop — one stop east of the Tianfu Square interchange.
