A Glimpse of Western Masterpieces
Time: Dec. 25, 2019-March 8, 2020
Venue: Chengdu Museum
The exhibition of prints collected by Arthur M. Sackler Museum of Art and Archaeology at Peking University puts on display 94 original prints by more than 40 Western master artists including Rubens, Vecellio, Picasso and Matisse. The exhibits, spanning 500 years, feature a wide range of subjects including scenery, characters and narration with diverse styles.
Exhibition: Royal Ceremony and Court Life in the Qing Dynasty

The ongoing exhibition at Jinsha Site Museum featuring the royal ceremony and court life in the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) displays 123 sets (158 pieces) of gold and jade ware collected by the Palace Museum. With scene restoration, multimedia equipment and projection, the exhibition shows the audience the real court life of the Qing Dynasty.
Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition

Venue: Chengdu Wuhou Shrine Museum

An exhibition featuring Chinese calligraphy and paintings is underway at the Chengdu Wuhou Shrine Museum, displaying 33 Chinese calligraphy works and paintings by 11 well-known Chinese artists. The exhibits' subjects include figures, flowers and birds, as well as landscapes.
Anren Biennale ― A Confrontation of Ideals
Time: Oct.12, 2019-Feb.12, 2020
Venue: Anren Old Town
The 2nd Anren Biennale, with the theme of A Confrontation of Ideals, showcases works in different genres of art, including painting, photography, installation, video and sculpture, by some 70 outstanding artists from 15 countries and regions.

Spring Festival Celebration of Flash Mobs at Wide and Narrow Alleys Goes Viral Online

On February 7, a large crowd of flash mobs sang the song China My Motherland at the Wide and Narrow Alleys, a hot tourist attraction in downtown Chengdu, to celebrate the traditional Chinese Spring Festival.
