New Batch of Municipal-Level Intangible Cultural Heritages Announced

A total of 52 items have been selected as the new batch of Chengdu intangible cultural heritages.
On December 3, the Chengdu Municipal People's Government officially announced the seventh batch of municipal-level intangible cultural heritages.
A total of 52 items, involving various aspects such as traditional music, traditional drama and folk art,
have won the municipal-level recognition.
Among them, the skills of making some typical Sichuan dishes,
like Shuangliu Spicy Rabbit Heads and Intestines Vermicelli, are on the list.
Chengdu Shadow Play from Chongzhou, Sichuan Bonsai from Shou'an
and CaiEr (Ear-picking, an ancient practice still alive in Chengdu) are also included.

Events and Exhibitions to highlight the ICH Festival

The 7th Int’l Festival of Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH Festival) is held in Chengdu Oct. 17-22, with various programs including forums, demos and exhibitions on display.
