A window into France, the annual celebration of French arts is back in town.
The Festival Croisements 2018 Chengdu Stop opened on May 8. With seven activities held in Chengdu, the annual festival has most of the activities free to the public and will last till July 8.
"This year there will be some new kinds of events such as drama and jazz music," declared Fabyene Mansencal, consul-general for France in Chengdu.
The festival, which covers a variety of activities in the fields of visual arts, drama, dance, music, film and literature, will be unveiled in 30 cities across China this year.
The seven events, including performances, exhibition, film screenings and concerts, is held in Chengdu since May 8 till July 8, when urban dwellers in the city can enjoy a good variety of shows of the traditional and contemporary creation brought by French and Chinese artists.
Coordinated by the French Embassy and consulates in China, the Croisements festival of culture has attracted more than 15 million visitors to take part in since its creation in 2006 and has grown into one of the biggest foreign cultural events in China.
