China-Australia Film Culture Week 2019 Opens in Chengdu

Directed by Australian Embassy in China and organized by Chengdu Radio&Television, Australian Consulate-General Chengdu and Chengdu Film Group, the opening ceremony and premiere of China-Australia Film Culture Week 2019 took place in Chengdu.
An official from Chengdu government addressed the opening ceremony, saying the Film Culture Week was a fruit of cultural exchange and cooperation between Chengdu and its Australian sister city Gold Coast, which took place for the first time in Chengdu and would boost more exchange of film culture between Chengdu and Gold Coast.

Christopher Lim, Australian Consul-General Chengdu, introduced on the development of Australian film industry and expressed his hope for enhancing exchange and cooperation between Chengdu and Gold Coast. Australian film Hidden Light premiered and its director Aaron Kamp shared his story about the film with the audience.
The Film Culture Week will last for 6 days, from Nov. 17 to 22, including events like China-Australia Literary Dialogue Salon, which took place on Nov. 18. Hidden Light, Ellipsis, Last Cab to Darwin and The Dressmaker will be on show at Theater of Emperor UA Ufun and Heping Theater during the Week.
Besides, six Chinese films will be shown in Gold Coast of Australia Dec.16-20, bringing more Chinese stories to local citizens.
