Chengdu Solicits Designs Globally to Boost Local Brands

The Creative Tianfu Brand Design Contest, part of the move of Chengdu government to promote the image of local handicraft and agricultural products of Chengdu, was launched on May 28 at XLY MoMA Museum in eastern Chengdu.

With the theme of "Greetings from the Creative Chengdu", the contest is calling for design works from worldwide to highlight local products listed in a directory provided by the organizers of the contest, which covers a wide range of food, crafts, agricultural products and handicraft products.
Designs on self-chosen items other than those listed in the directory, as long as they are produced in the territory of Chengdu, are also welcome to be the entries of the contest, said the organizers.
The contest is to be carried out in three stages including the soliciting (May 28-July 25), first appraisal (July 26-August 24) and the finals (August 25-30).
The selected will be bountifully rewarded and each of the two top prize winners will receive RMB 1 million (tax included).
