Danish Pianist Elisabeth Nielsen's Recital

Danish pianist Elisabeth Nielsen is an award-winning pianist, currently performing in Denmark and other parts of Europe. She will give a piano recital in Chengdu on Dec. 12.
Elisabeth was born in Copenhagen in 1993, and began to study playing piano at the age of six. She graduated from the Royal Danish Academy of Music in 2014 and got her soloist postgraduate diploma in 2017 after studies in Vienna and Copenhagen. She gave her debut recital in August 2017, in cooperation with an innovative project titled Carnival.
Elisabeth learned from many master pianists and has incorporated their skills and techniques into her performance.
In October 2012, Elisabeth won the third place at the international piano competition for young musicians in Enschede, the Netherlands, which gave her an opportunity to perform the Saint-Saëns Piano Concerto No. 4 with the Netherlands Symphony Orchestra in October 2014.
In 2012, after having won the first prize at the Salieri competition in Italy, Elisabeth was invited to study with Professor Federico Gianello at the first Steinway Academy in Europe, an international school for gifted young musicians in Verona, Italy.
In February 2017, she won the Scandinavian Yamaha competition and was awarded the YMFE scholarship.
So far, Elisabeth has released two CDs, featuring works by Bach, Schumann, Prokofiev, Beethoven and Carl Nielsen. Both recordings have received positive reviews in Denmark and other countries.
