Concert: Classical and Romantic
Music Hall of Sichuan Conservatory of Music
A concert named Classical and Romantic by Sichuan Conservatory of Music (SCM) will be staged at SCM's music hall on May 26, with Zhu Qiyuan as the principal conductor and Huang Ruoyu the piano soloist. Tchaikovsky's First Piano Concerto and Felix Mendelssohn's Symphony No. 3 in A minor, Op. 56, known as the Scottish, will be played.
Zhu Qiyuan
Zhu was the student of famous conductor David Zinman, and once worked as the music director of the Columbia Symphony Orchestra and Carolina Ballet.
Huang Ruoyu
Huang studied at the Curtis Institute of Music and Juilliard School, and was the student of famous pianist Sergei Babayan and Yoheved Kaplinsky.
