The Laba Rice Porridge Festival is celebrated on the eighth day of the last lunar month in China, which falls on Jan. 2, 2020. According to the Chinese tradition, people should eat Laba rice porridge (made of many kinds of rice, beans, peanuts, dried fruits, and lotus seeds, etc.) on the day.
The Wenshu Monastery will give away 300,000 bowls of free Laba rice porridge to local citizens (100,000 to be delivered inside the Monastery on Dec. 31, 2019-Jan. 2, 2020, and 200,000 outside the temple on Dec. 30, 2019-Jan. 2, 2020). The porridge cooked by the monastery is very popular among locals for its genuine ingredients and delicious taste.

Please follow relevant instructions and queue up for the porridge. Each person is limited to one box at a time.
The plastic container for the porridge is recyclable.
