The ongoing exhibition titled Discovery: Zhongshan State at the Chengdu Jinsha Site Museum displays 227 pieces of culture relics unearthed from the Zhongshan Site in Pingshan County, Shijiazhuang City, north China's Hebei Province.
In Chinese history, Zhongshan State (414BC—296BC) is a state next to the Seven Powers during the Warring States Period (475BC—221BC). Due to scattered historical records, the Zhongshan State was unknown for a long time and was thus called a mysterious kingdom. The State was unveiled due to the archaeological excavations in 1974 of the Zhongshan king's mausoleum and Lingshou Old City in Pingshan.
