Exhibition of Chinese Paintings by Li Keran

Art Gallery, Wuhou Shrine
An exhibition highlighting Li Keran's works will open on Aug. 9 at the art gallery inside the Chengdu Wuhou Shrine. The 62 exhibits themed landscape, figure and ox include 32 Chinese paintings, 10 reproductions by collotype printing and 20 pencil sketches. Those with the themes of figure and ox will be made public for the first time.
Li Keran (1907 – 1989), a contemporary Chinese painting master, although trained in Western oil painting, is known for his traditional literati paintings influenced by Qi Baishi (1864-1957) and Huang Binhong (1865-1955), two renowned masters of Chinese painting.
