On July 22, Chengdu Wide & Narrow Alleys, one of the most popular tourist attractions in downtown Chengdu, along with Hangzhou Hubin Pedestrian Street, Chongqing Jiefangbei Pedestrian Street, Nanjing Confucius Temple Pedestrian Street and Xi 'an Sleepless City of Tang Pedestrian Street, were designated by the Ministry of Commerce as the frist batch of national demonstration streets.
