A newly built transparent house of a glass and wooden framework, with art works and café inside, makes itself a new attraction in Chengdu Yulin Third Alley.
New space and designs
Funded by the Yulin East Road community neighborhood committee office, the 150-square-meter house has stylish doors and windows, providing a large space with plenty of light and a wide view, where the elders can play chess and chat on the bench outside the room while kids are playing around.
The house has soon become a hot spot for shutterbugs and visitors. It also has friendly facilities for the disabled, who enjoy the gentle and barrier-free slopes with wide aisles for wheelchairs at the entrances and exits. Visually impaired people can clearly know where they are when they feel the engravings on the handrails.
