On October 27, Chengdu established a friendly city-province relationship with Luang Prabang Province, Laos.
So far, Chengdu has established a friendly tie with 32 foreign cities or provinces.
Chengdu and Luang Prabang will cooperate in education, culture, tourism, and business and trade. Both parties will work together on exchange student programs, inter-school partnerships, visits of tourist groups, as well as cultural and travel promotions, to advance the economic development of the two sides.
