City Hosts 2018 Chengdu Talents’ Day

The 2018 Chengdu Talents’ Day, organized by the Chengdu municipal talent work office, took place April 28 at the Jinrong Start-up Hub, Chengdu Hi-tech Zone.
The event brought together more than 300 talented people from other cities in the country. From all walks of life, the professionals probed into the opportunities and challenges facing Chengdu's brain gain initiative.
The Day is celebrated on the fourth Saturday of April annually. Set up by the CPC Chengdu Municipal Committee and Chengdu Municipal Government, it is aimed to show respect to those who having made prominent contributions to the city's economic and social development, and strengthen their senses of identity and belonging, as well as feeling of being included.
According to relevant statistics, by far 170,000 plus young professionals have registered permanent residence in Chengdu, since the city's latest talent program was launched July 2017.
