PwC to Establish Southwest China HQ in Wuhou District

The Price Waterhouse Coopers (PwC) signed an agreement with the government of Chengdu’s Wuhou District on August 26, in a bid to build its regional headquarters in southwest China in the city.

“Opening the regional headquarters in southwest China is a strategically important decision for PwC. We will offer consulting services to local companies. Moreover, we’re glad to make contributions to the development of regional economy and serve the companies in China’s southwest regions,” said Zhuang Zinan, PwC China’s Shenzhen Office Partner and the firm’s Greater China Markets Leader.
Xu Wenxiang, leader of PwC China’s Chengdu Office, revealed that Chengdu impressed the PwC’s senior management most with its convenient traffic including direct air links with and the rail cargo service to Europe, its economic internationalization and modernization, its solid industrial base, as well as its dynamic industries of modern trade and high technologies.
Along with Ernst & Young, KPMG and Deloitte & Touche, which have settled in the Jinjiang District in recent years and gained good returns, PcW is one of the world’s Big Four auditors.

Wuhou District

The district is famous for the Wuhou Temple and covers an area of 76.56 square km, including 13 sub-district offices, with a permanent population of 1.20 million.
