Chengdu will work together with Huawei to push ahead with the development of 5G technologies and applications.
On September 3, the 5th Huawei Asia-Pacific Innovation Day was held in Chengdu. More than 200 representatives from different levels of governments, as well as industrial and academic circles of countries in the Asia-Pacific region got together to discuss about innovative 5G technologies and their applications in VR, 8K-resolution video, drone, telemedicine and first aid.
At the event, Huawei unveiled the Kunpeng Ecological Base, which is located in the Tianfu New Area, Chengdu. The company will work together with Chengdu to build an industrial park occupying millions of square meters and establish its Kunpeng ecology.
Chengdu has been keeping a good partnership with Huawei, whose research center in the city is one of the company's leading research centers around the world. In May, both sides signed a cooperative agreement to develop ICT ecology and deepen the mutual cooperation in such fields involving 5G technologies and smart city.
