Chengdu to Offer RMB48 Bln to Major Projects for Public Well-being

The Chengdu Municipal Development and Reform Commission (CMDRC) and China Development Bank Sichuan Branch will provide RMB48 billion to major businesses and projects in Chengdu, to ensure the stable economic growth of the city amid the COVID-19 outbreak, said sources from the CMDRC on February 20.

The projects involve the construction and renovation of some important infrastructure, ranging from railway, highway and Chengdu Tianfu International Airport, which will be the second international airport in the city, to emergency medical facilities and public health services. The city will also provide financial support to invigorate these industries related to AI, big data, 5G+ and health care, etc.
