Chengdu to be 2nd Most Popular Tourist Destination in China, Ctrip Says

On March 5, Ctrip.com, a leading online travel agency in China, released a report concerning the recovery of the tourist industry in China after the COVID-19 epidemic.

It ranked the most popular destinations that tourists would like to visit after the epidemic, and Chengdu took the second place on the ranking.
According to statistics from Ctrip's big data platform, which observes post-epidemic revival of the travel sector across the globe in recent years, the company set up a forecasting model for the revival of the industry this year. The results from the model, based on the market size and growth of the tourism in 2019 and 2020, prediction and pre-judgement of the course of the COVID-19 epidemic, and travel preferences of Ctrip.com's customers, show that the travel sector will recover and grow steadily with the coming of the Labor Day Holiday in May and summer vacation for students.
More than 40 Chinese destinations have shown signs of recovery, according to Sun Bo, CMO of Ctrip.com.
