Chengdu ICH to be Displayed in Houston

Chengdu intangible cultural heritages will make an appearance in November 2017 during the Magical Winter Lights, the largest holiday light festival in Houston.
Operated by Sichuan companies, the event has been held twice in the US. It boasts the largest lantern and holiday celebration in the American city as well as the largest Chinese lantern show outside China. A week-long cultural program titled Chengdu Culture Week will be launched during the celebration.
The event under the guidance of Sichuan and Chengdu ICH associations will kick off on November 10 at the Gulf Greyhound Park of the southern US city. It will show the Chinese lantern art and Chengdu's unique ICH items, including face-changing and fire-spitting, two distinct stunts of Sichuan Opera, bamboo woven products, sugar painting and paper-cutting.

Painting Exhibition by Local Artists

The ongoing painting exhibition at Qingyuanji Art Center displays works created by 27 artists from Sichuan.
