Chengdu, Home to 285 Fortune Global 500 Companies-GoChengdu

Latest data from the Chengdu Municipal Investment Promotion Commission show that 285 Fortune Global 500 companies, of which 198 are from overseas and 87 from home, have settled in Chengdu. The city has topped central and western China in terms of the number of such companies, which was 281 in 2017.

According to the statistics, these companies in Chengdu are mainly engaged in such service sectors as finance, insurance, commercial retailing and logistics, as well as such industries as electronic information, and auto and aviation manufacturing.

It is worth mentioning that Chengdu's central urban areas show a strong effect of industrial conglomeration. 280 Fortune Global 500 companies are primarily based in the city's High-Tech Zone, and Wuhou, Qingyang, Jinjiang and Chenghua, etc.

255 Fortune Global 500 Companies Drawn to Chengdu

To date, the city has attracted 255 Fortune Global 500 Companies, according to a special press conference held by the Information Office of Chengdu Municipal People’s Government on July 23.
