On November 13, the three-day 14th EU-China Business & Technology Cooperation Fair wrapped up in Chengdu.

The event, with the attendance of representatives from 300 companies and institutions from 27 EU countries and 700 from China, focused primarily on education, biomedicine, sci-tech- innovation, industrial environmental protection, culture, tourism and other fields.
At the opening ceremony of the event, agreements for 13 projects valued at a total of US$180 million were signed between Chinese companies and institutions and their EU counterparts. Among them, 11 will be located in Chengdu High-tech Zone. Maersk, the world's largest container shipping company, reached an MoU with Chengdu High-tech Zone on furthering mutual exchanges and partnership.
During the event, the Business & Innovation Center for China-Europe Cooperation (CCEC) situated in the Chengdu Hi-tech Zone, a platform for the cooperation between western China and Europe in trade, investment and technology, became the permanent venue for the Fair.
