Chengdu-Bali Direct Flight Expected to Open This Year

Wisnu Edi Pratignyo, an envoy at the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in China revealed that the direct route between Chengdu and Bali is scheduled to open within the year if everything goes well.
“I have been thinking about how to expand cooperation between Chengdu and Indonesia in the area of tourism,” said Wisnu Edi Pratignyo, an envoy at the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in China, in an interview with Chengdu Daily on May 27.
“Chengdu’s panda and hotpot are very impressive. With the development of the city’stourist industry, its magnificent culture is highly appealing to lots of Indonesians,” said Mr. Wisnu Edi Pratignyo, “Indonesian Island of Bali is also a world-known tourist destination. The direct route between Chengdu and Bali is scheduled to open within the year if everything goes well.”
It generally takes about three days to get a tourist visa to Indonesia in China. Chinese visitors can also apply for a temporary tourist visa upon arrival at Indonesian airports, which allows them to stay in Indonesia for 30 days, Mr. Wisnu Edi Pratignyo revealed.
